Senior Mine Planner – 2026-023. Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking a Senior Mine Planner to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 14/14 rotation. Foran Mining is a modern mining development and exploration company advancing Canada's only greenfield copper project currently under construction: the McIlvenna Bay deposit in Saskatchewan. With commercial production expected in mid-2026, this world-class deposit contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver – key metals for the global transition to green energy. The Senior Mine Planner is responsible for ensuring that plans are operationally viable and aligned with company objectives. They oversee the issuance and execution of all short-term plans, monitor compliance, identify deviations, and implement mitigation plans.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and maintain 3–12-month mining schedules to meet budget targets safely
Support the Mine Engineering Team with daily and weekly tasks
Create short-term plans for drill & blast, backfill, ventilation, and ground control
Prepare drill & blast and development designs to align with schedules
Coordinate short-term schedules (7+21) with operations and technical services
Develop and align weekly mine plans with the three-month plan
Ensure backfill, drilling, and blasting activities follow best practices and safety standards
Supervise, train, and mentor engineers and mine technicians
Conduct trade-off studies and implement operational improvements
Promote safe production through engineering best practices
Ensure compliance with mining regulations and company policies
Maintain stope reconciliation and support QAQC functions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in mining engineering or related field
5+ years of underground hard rock mining experience
supervisory experience is an asset
Experience with Deswik mining suite is an asset
Understanding of underground mining practices, including drill & blast and backfilling
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to a dynamic mining environment
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Nice to have:
