Job Responsibility:

  • Technical and end user operation management of data warehouse and business intelligence infrastructure on day-to-day basis
  • Full responsibility of new development tasks to expand functionality of current data warehouse including dashboards/reports
  • Working with Finance to gather/analyze reporting requirements (Business Analysis)
  • Presenting technical solutions for new business requirements to manager and final technical implementation
  • Actively supporting end users and error management of data warehouse with dashboards/reports
  • Organizing technical and end user testing for final deployments to different technical environments
  • Creating/maintaining technical and end user documentation
  • Second technical contact for Business Intelligence

Requirements:

  • 5+ years Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server development
  • Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Formal training in Business Intelligence methodologies
  • Microsoft Power BI (Mandatory): Able to create data models, M power queries, DAX and visualizations, Administration of Power BI workspace and other Power BI tools, Performance Optimization, Security and Governance
  • Data modeling (Mandatory): Star schema/Kimball, Normalization and denormalization, Multiple fact tables, Multiple date tables
  • T-SQL language (querying and programming) (Mandatory): Able to create/maintain SQL Server procedures, indexes, constraints, partitions, triggers, CTEs, contract tables and more
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database basic administration or higher version (Preferable): Able to maintain/create server and database roles
  • Microsoft Reporting Services 2012 or higher: SQL Server Data Tools and Report Designer/Manager, Able to create reports over different data sources (relational, multidimensional)
  • Microsoft Analysis Services 2012 or higher: SQL Server Data Tools and Dimension/Cube Designer, Able to create different types of hierarchies and relationships, Able to create OLAP cubes with MDX calculations and different designs, Able to apply different security models, Able to deploy to different SQL Server environments
  • Microsoft Integration Services 2012 or higher: SQL Server Data Tools and SSIS ETL package design, Able to create control and data flows, Able to apply different package deployment models
