Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandising Manager to oversee end-to-end merchandising operations, with a strong focus on supplier management, production execution, and alignment with the Product Development team. This is a pure merchandising role based in our China factory and requires hands-on involvement in factory coordination, costing, production tracking, and delivery management. The role will act as a key operational link between internal teams and external suppliers to ensure products are delivered on time, within cost, and to required quality standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and coordinate suppliers and factories across all stages of production
  • Work closely with the PD Manager to align product development timelines, costing, and execution
  • Oversee order placement, production schedules, and delivery timelines to ensure on-time shipment
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and payment terms with suppliers and factories
  • Monitor production progress and proactively resolve issues related to quality, capacity, delays, or cost
  • Ensure products meet company quality standards, testing requirements, and compliance guidelines
  • Maintain accurate merchandising documentation including costing sheets, purchase orders, and production status reports
  • Update, maintain, and ensure accuracy of all merchandising and production data within the company’s Airtable systems, including supplier information, costing, timelines, and order tracking
  • Ensure timely and accurate internal reporting through Airtable to support planning and decision-making
  • Conduct factory visits, audits, and supplier evaluations as required
  • Act as the primary merchandising point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Support continuous improvement of merchandising processes and systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 8–10 years of merchandising experience
  • At least 3–5 years in a senior or managerial capacity
  • Strong background in supplier and production management within China
  • Proven experience working closely with Product Development teams
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, critical path management, and cost control
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Mandarin (spoken) – mandatory
  • Currently based in China
  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail with strong follow-through
  • Comfortable working with digital tools and systems, particularly Airtable
