Senior Medical Physicist Photon

• Under the Direction of the Medical Physics Director, responsible for the design optimization, technical evaluation and precise and accurate delivery of radiation plans
• responsible for the safety of patients and staff
• May participate in clinical, research and educational duties
• supports and adheres to safety and compliance program to include OSHA, HIPAA and the Code of Ethics
• Provide continuing physics support to the department of radiation oncology
• Assist and provide coverage in areas of instrumentation, equipment calibration, treatment planning, dosimetry, radiation protection, quality assurance, equipment selection and acceptance

• Masters
• Therapeutic Radiological Physicist License
• PhD in physics from an accredited college or university preferred
• Experience, preferably in a large radiation physics program, with multiple machine modalities and services
• Must maintain certification and continuing education requirements outlined by the American College of Radiology, current certification in field by American Board of Radiology or Board of Medical Physics
• Must obtain and maintain certification and valid license for medical physics as required
• Minimum Required Experience: 7 Years
