Johnson Group is seeking a Senior Media Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and performance of full-funnel media campaigns across primarily digital channels, with exposure to broader media opportunities as needed. In this role, you will own media planning and performance for a portfolio of high-profile clients—developing strategies across paid search, social, programmatic, and emerging channels. You will balance hands-on campaign management with strategic leadership, working closely with internal teams and clients to drive measurable business outcomes. Job Responsibility:
Partner with Channel Leads and media strategists to build strategies aligned with client goals and target audiences
Build and optimize full-funnel media plans, balancing brand awareness and performance objectives
Determine channel mix, budget allocation, and forecasting to maximize ROI across platforms
Partner with strategy, analytics, and creative teams to ensure cohesive campaign execution
Oversee and assist with execution and performance across: Paid Search (Google, Microsoft), Paid Social (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), Programmatic & Display, CTV/OTT platforms
Become an expert on automation platforms: create account templates, execute mass changes, and troubleshoot/QA updates
Continuously optimize campaigns using data-driven insights to improve CPA, ROAS, and overall performance
Lead testing strategies including A/B testing, incrementality testing, and conversion optimization
Ensure proper tracking, tagging, and attribution frameworks are in place
Manage client billing communications and lead reconciliation of monthly billing across platforms
Build and maintain relationships with media vendors, platforms, and partners
Evaluate and test new and emerging channels
Collaborate with partners to identify efficiency and scaling opportunities
Define and track KPIs aligned with client business goals
Analyze performance and deliver actionable insights and recommendations
Support advanced measurement approaches and attribution strategies
Present monthly and ad hoc performance reports to clients
Provide mentorship and support to junior team members
Delegate effectively and ensure high-quality output
Collaborate with Account Executives and Directors
Contribute to internal process improvements and best practices
Serve as a key point of contact for clients
Lead client meetings and presentations
Build strong, trusted client relationships
Requirements:
5–8+ years of agency experience in paid media and campaign management
Experience managing high-budget campaigns ($100K+/month per client
$1M+/month portfolio preferred)
Strong expertise in: Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
Paid Social (Meta, LinkedIn, etc.)
Programmatic/DSP platforms
Demonstrated success improving CPA, ROAS, and campaign performance
Advanced knowledge of tracking, attribution, and analytics tools
Experience with conversion rate optimization and funnel analysis
Strong analytical mindset
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
Certifications (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta) preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
Traditional media planning (TV, radio, OOH, print)
CTV, streaming audio (Spotify, Pandora), retail media networks
Industry experience (CPG, retail, healthcare, education, transportation)
Media mix modeling (MMM) or advanced attribution methods
Google Campaign Manager (GCM), Google Tag Manager, and pixel implementation
Excel/macros or data analysis experience
Experience with DSPs and emerging ad platforms
Lead generation or performance-driven campaigns at scale
