Job Description

We are seeking experienced building HVAC and Plumbing REVIT Designers who are interested in modeling schools, hospitals, art and entertainment facilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and modelling in REVIT a complete mechanical building system
  • Work independently on specified scopes with minimal supervision required
  • Coaching and delegating design tasks to designers
  • Selection of mechanical equipment working directly with suppliers and manufacturer’s representatives
  • Preparation of schematic design, design development and construction documents in REVIT
  • Directing clash detection and modelling review
  • Coordination of mechanical systems and design with other disciplines
  • Assist with Contract Administration, including shop drawing review, RFI responses and on-site review
  • May attend design and construction meetings with the client, other consultants and the contractors
  • Maintain project schedules and project budgets to track work progress and manpower resource utilization with assistance from the Project Manager
  • Detailed understanding of all building systems, including architectural, structural, civil, electrical and fire and how they impact and are impacted by the mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

Requirements

  • 5-10 years’ experience using Autodesk MEP REVIT software required
  • Must have 1 years of Canadian experience
  • Strong knowledge of current codes and standards, such as the applicable plumbing and building codes
  • Excellent written skills and understanding of software programs

Nice to have

A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering is an asset
