Job Description:

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components across projects. This role involves providing technical leadership, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross?functional teams to deliver high?quality, cost?effective solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead mechanical design and engineering activities from concept through production and commissioning
  • Develop, review, and validate mechanical designs, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to ensure system reliability and performance
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Collaborate with project managers, electrical/software engineers, and manufacturing teams
  • Support supplier evaluation, technical negotiations, and component selection
  • Review and approve engineering changes and manage design improvements
  • Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7–10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or equivalent)
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools (FEA, CFD preferred)
  • Solid understanding of industry standards (ASME, ISO, ASTM, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading projects or technical teams

Nice to have:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Chartered Engineer / Professional Engineer certification
  • Experience in [industry-specific area: e.g. oil & gas, manufacturing, HVAC, robotics, energy]
  • Exposure to project management and cost control
  • Experience working in cross?regional or global teams
