Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Lead the design, specification, and oversight of mechanical services systems, particularly HVAC, plumbing, and building systems, from concept to completion
• Ensure all designs adhere to relevant standards (CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, EN) and promote energy-efficient and sustainable solutions across projects
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and contractors, to ensure project scope is met and systems are delivered to high quality and efficiency standards
• Manage the mechanical design process by monitoring project timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Conduct regular project reviews and provide timely updates to clients
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all mechanical design-related queries, ensuring client needs are understood and addressed throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare detailed tender packages (including specifications, drawings, and design reports) and analyze tender submissions with recommendations for contract awards
• Conduct continuous quality checks during the design and installation phases to ensure compliance with project standards and resolve any issues that arise during installation
• Mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance on mechanical design and project delivery, especially in HVAC system design
• Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and skill development within the team
• Stay updated on industry advancements and implement them in design practices to improve efficiency and innovation

• Must be currently based in Ireland
• Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field – Chartered an advantage
• Minimum 7 years of experience in Mechanical Building Services design with Data Centres, Industrial, High Tech, Commercial and/or Healthcare engineering projects
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, including CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS, and EN regulations
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCad and REVIT
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Experience leading & coordinating an engineering team in the successful delivery of projects
• Inquisitive about emerging technologies and their application in your role
