In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects. Job Responsibility:
Do initial scoping through detailed design and commissioning and handover across a wide variety of projects, including preparation of technical specifications, reports, and estimates
Involved in tender preparation and negotiations with clients to achieve commercially profitable business objectives
Engage directly with clients and colleagues to deliver successful outcomes to contribute to work winning and market development
Provide expert advice and guidance on engineering projects, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and troubleshooting
Develop and analyse mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals
Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project team members to deliver successful projects
Act as a technical expert to mentor and develop other Mechanical engineers within the team, and provide Mechanical design expertise in overseeing all technical aspects of projects
Provide client consultation by drawing on professional expertise and deep knowledge of Aurecon’s consultancy services
To lead and coordinate among various multidisciplinary services
Requirements:
Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 6 -8 years related professional experience in buildings services
Strong background in building Mechanical design within a consulting environment (advantageous)
Strong interest in working on innovative, energy efficient and sustainable projects
Project leadership and management experience
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Pro-active with the ability to work independently or part of a team
Good communication skills and business acumen
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Proven business development and account management skills
High level of computer literacy
Exposure to BIM / Revit (highly desired)
Advanced problem-solving skills through investigation and analysis
Literacy in the use of digital tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Naviswork, BIM360 and drive BIM processes
Strong ability in navigating 3D BIM model to review multi-disciplinary design, identify issues, provide solutions and delegate the design team to resolve them
