Job Description

In this position, you will join our Buildings business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of projects. Job Responsibility

  • Do initial scoping through detailed design and commissioning and handover across a wide variety of projects, including preparation of technical specifications, reports, and estimates
  • Involved in tender preparation and negotiations with clients to achieve commercially profitable business objectives
  • Engage directly with clients and colleagues to deliver successful outcomes to contribute to work winning and market development
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on engineering projects, including feasibility studies, design reviews, and troubleshooting
  • Develop and analyse mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and proposals
  • Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and project team members to deliver successful projects
  • Act as a technical expert to mentor and develop other Mechanical engineers within the team, and provide Mechanical design expertise in overseeing all technical aspects of projects
  • Provide client consultation by drawing on professional expertise and deep knowledge of Aurecon’s consultancy services
  • To lead and coordinate among various multidisciplinary services

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 6 -8 years related professional experience in buildings services
  • Strong background in building Mechanical design within a consulting environment (advantageous)
  • Strong interest in working on innovative, energy efficient and sustainable projects
  • Project leadership and management experience
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Pro-active with the ability to work independently or part of a team
  • Good communication skills and business acumen
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven business development and account management skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Exposure to BIM / Revit (highly desired)
  • Advanced problem-solving skills through investigation and analysis
  • Literacy in the use of digital tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Autodesk Naviswork, BIM360 and drive BIM processes
  • Strong ability in navigating 3D BIM model to review multi-disciplinary design, identify issues, provide solutions and delegate the design team to resolve them
