Job Description

Kensho is S&P Global’s hub for AI innovation and transformation. With expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and data discovery, we develop and deploy novel solutions to innovate and drive progress at S&P Global and its customers worldwide. Kensho's solutions and research focus on business and financial generative AI applications, agents, data retrieval APIs, data extraction, and much more. At Kensho, we hire talented people and give them the autonomy and support needed to build amazing technology and products. We collaborate using our teammates' diverse perspectives to solve hard problems. Our communication with one another is open, honest, and efficient. We dedicate time and resources to explore new ideas, but always rooted in engineering best practices. As a result, we can innovate rapidly to produce technology that is scalable, robust, and useful. Kensho Technologies (a division of S&P Global) is seeking a Senior Marketing Specialist, Design & Storytelling to join our Marketing and Communications team. This is a highly collaborative role that sits at the intersection of design, narrative, and brand strategy. This is not a traditional graphic design role. You won’t just be executing tickets — you’ll be partnering closely with product leaders, researchers, engineers, and executives to translate complex AI capabilities into compelling, accessible stories. You’ll take full ownership of projects end-to-end: managing projects, coordinating with key stakeholders, and maintaining high standards on all visual and brand deliverables. From PowerPoint decks, to technical diagrams, social content, and brand materials, you will help shape what we say about our technology and how we say it. In addition to being a seasoned graphic designer, you will act as a thought partner to marketing leadership: someone who starts with the story and the audience, then brings that narrative to life visually and verbally across presentations, social media, and other brand touchpoints. You thrive in a fast-paced, startup culture, and are willing to step in to help a colleague, step out of your comfort zone, and take on new responsibilities. If you love turning complex, technical ideas into clear and persuasive visuals and narratives and want to help define how an AI company shows up in the world, this role is for you.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the visual expression of Kensho’s brand, reinforcing our positioning and credibility across channels
  • Manage and uphold Kensho’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistent and effective visual expression of the brand
  • Develop and produce a wide range of brand and marketing assets, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, infographics, social and digital content, and more
  • Partner with the Head of Marketing & Communications to support and strengthen Kensho’s brand storytelling
  • Develop presentations, including executive-level PowerPoint decks, sales enablement materials, and product marketing collateral, shaping flow, emphasis, and clarity, as well as design
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and leadership teams to translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear, engaging visual stories
  • Co-own our social media strategy and execution
  • Co-own Kensho’s website experience, managing content and design updates, and partnering cross-functionally on site enhancements as needed
  • Proactively identify opportunities to elevate Kensho’s storytelling through design, sharing fresh ideas, recommendations, and creative solutions
  • Contribute as a writer across marketing and communications efforts, including presentation copy, website content, and social media posts as needed
  • Collaborate with S&P Global partners to ensure alignment while maintaining Kensho’s distinct voice and visual identity

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience in marketing, brand, design, communications, or a creative agency environment, with clear progression in scope and responsibility
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating visual excellence paired with narrative thinking, including executive-level presentations and brand storytelling
  • Proven ability to translate complex, technical, or AI-driven concepts into clear, credible, and compelling visual and written communications
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience contributing copy across presentations, websites, and social media
  • Experience creating compelling visual assets and content, from custom-designed graphics and presentations to multimedia content
  • Proficiency with modern design and storytelling tools, including PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Figma, with sound judgment about when and how to use each
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the confidence to partner closely with senior leaders, technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and a growth mindset, including comfort experimenting with AI-powered tools and learning new technologies and domains
  • Experience in tech strongly preferred
  • you are not intimidated by technical subject matter
  • Proficiency with modern, and user-friendly content management systems like Squarespace

Nice to have

  • Experience working directly with C-level executives or senior leadership, particularly on high-stakes presentations or communications
  • A demonstrated interest in or hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or emerging technology trends, and a willingness to stay current as the space evolves
  • Examples of work where you acted as a creative or narrative partner, not just a design executor

What we offer

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 100% company paid premiums
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off
  • 26 weeks of 100% paid Parental Leave (paternity and maternity)
  • 401(k) plan with 6% employer matching
  • Generous company matching on donations to non-profit charities
  • Up to $20,000 tuition assistance toward degree programs, plus up to $4,000/year for ongoing professional education such as industry conferences
  • Plentiful snacks, drinks, and regularly catered lunches
  • Dog-friendly office (CAM office)
  • Bike sharing program memberships
  • Compassion leave and elder care leave
  • Mentoring and additional learning opportunities
  • Opportunity to expand professional network and participate in conferences and events
