Replit is the agentic software creation platform that enables anyone to build applications using natural language. With millions of users worldwide and over 500,000 business users, Replit is democratizing software development by removing traditional barriers to application creation. We're looking for a strategic and technical Senior Manager, SEO & Organic Growth to own and scale Replit's organic search presence across traditional search engines, AI-powered platforms, and generative engines. You'll be responsible for driving qualified traffic and improving discoverability as search evolves beyond Google to include ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and other AI platforms. As the first search marketing hire, you'll work directly with our Head of GTM & Growth Marketing and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Content, Product Marketing, and Analytics teams. This role requires someone who thrives in 0-to-1 environments and has successfully built search programs that deliver measurable traffic, conversions, and pipeline growth.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and scale organic search strategy across SEO, AEO, and GEO
  • Lead SEO strategy to improve rankings, visibility, and organic traffic from traditional search engines
  • Develop Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to ensure Replit appears prominently in AI-powered search results
  • Track and optimize performance across all search channels and report on traffic, conversions, and pipeline contribution
  • Build search infrastructure and technical foundation from scratch
  • Partner with Engineering to implement technical SEO best practices (site architecture, schema markup, Core Web Vitals, crawlability)
  • Conduct site audits and prioritize technical improvements to enhance search performance
  • Optimize on-page elements across Replit's web properties and establish tracking frameworks

Requirements

  • 8+ years of SEO and organic search marketing experience, with proven expertise in technical SEO, content optimization, and link building strategies
  • Deep understanding of emerging search paradigms including Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) for AI platforms
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools and platforms (Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, analytics platforms) and technical SEO implementation
  • Strong analytical capabilities – you use data to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and measure impact on traffic, conversions, and pipeline
  • Experience partnering with Engineering and Product teams to implement technical SEO improvements and influence product decisions
  • Proven ability to develop content strategies informed by search insights and user intent across the funnel
