Job Description:

Homes for Students is one of the UK’s leading providers of student accommodation. We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Senior Marketing Executive to support the delivery of marketing activity across new builds, mobilisations, and takeovers. Reporting into the Marketing Manager (Property & Mobilisations), this role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to ensuring each property launches and trades with strong visibility and relevance locally. A key part of the role will involve travelling to sites to assess marketing effectiveness on the ground, identifying what is working, what isn’t, and where there are local opportunities we may not yet be capitalising on. You’ll play an important role in shaping how each property shows up on campus, on the street, and within its local student market.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the delivery of marketing activity for new builds, mobilisations, and takeovers, ensuring plans are executed accurately and on time
  • Visit sites to assess local marketing performance, including signage, visibility, messaging, and positioning
  • Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities at property level, feeding insights back to the Marketing Manager to inform wider strategy
  • Own and coordinate property marketing activity, including: photography and show flat dressing, on-site marketing materials, signage, hoardings, and local visibility assets
  • Manage and track signage requests, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines while adapting to local needs
  • Work closely with Campaign, Design, and Digital teams to ensure activity is aligned, joined-up, and relevant to each stage of the leasing cycle
  • Build strong working relationships with on-site teams, acting as a marketing point of contact during busy launch and peak periods
  • Liaise with photographers, suppliers, and third-party partners, ensuring quality, timelines, and budgets are controlled
  • Support Clearing, open days, and on-site events where required
  • Assist in developing tactical marketing plans that respond to local market conditions, competitor activity, and student behaviour
  • Monitor competitor activity and wider PBSA trends, sharing insight and recommendations
  • Represent Homes for Students at housing fairs, refreshers events, and sector events where required
  • Maintain high standards of delivery and compliance with Health & Safety policies
  • Support ad-hoc projects and activity as required by the Marketing Manager or wider marketing leadership team

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a marketing executive or senior executive role, ideally within property, student accommodation, retail, or a similar environment
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences
  • A creative mindset with a strong eye for detail and presentation
  • Experience coordinating show flat dressings, photography, or on-site marketing activity
  • Confident working with stakeholders at all levels, including site teams and senior colleagues
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of tasks
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Confident presenting ideas, insights, or recommendations when required
  • Willingness to travel nationally to visit sites (travel is a core part of this role)
  • Highly proactive and solutions-focused
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Performance-driven with pride in high-quality delivery
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in changing, fast-paced environments
  • Collaborative and positive, with a clear “can-do” attitude
  • Confident using judgement to make recommendations and flag risks early
  • Committed to equality, inclusion, and respectful working practices
  • Experience delivering marketing activity in a commercial environment
  • Experience working across multiple projects or locations
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel to sites regularly

Nice to have:

  • Experience within the student accommodation or higher education sector
  • Experience supporting new site launches, mobilisations, or takeovers
  • Experience working closely with on-site operational teams
What we offer:
  • Bank holidays + 25 days annual leave
  • An extra day off for your birthday
  • Just Eat for Business - we love a regular takeaway!
  • Dedicated employee portal with tons of discounts
  • Employee of the Month Scheme with 3 monthly winners
  • Pension Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Electric/Hybrid Car Scheme
