Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join the team developing a cloud-native service orchestration platform (iPaaS). The product helps companies connect different systems and applications, automate workflows, and build API integrations using low-code tools, connectors, and distributed cloud services. Candidates are expected to have strong manual testing skills and proven automated test development experience. Candidate's location – the EU.

Job Responsibility

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing of services, service integration connectors, Web UI, REST, and SOAP API
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for Web UI and API layers using modern test automation frameworks
  • Participate in test automation framework design and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps engineers to ensure quality throughout the SDLC
  • Analyze the results of automated test executions
  • Conduct performance and reliability testing
  • Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to other team members

Requirements

  • Location within the EU
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing (manual and automated)
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing processes, and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify edge cases and potential system risks
  • Skills to create high-quality test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
  • Proven experience in designing, writing, and maintaining automated test scripts (Web UI and API)
  • Good knowledge of Java (Java 8+) and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with Maven
  • Experience with JUnit or TestNG
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cypress
  • API testing tools (Postman, SOAP UI, or similar)
  • Good understanding of HTTP, REST
  • Good understanding of monolith and microservices testing
  • Good knowledge of SQL and some experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with load testing (JMeter or similar tools)
  • Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Git)
  • Sufficient Linux command-line skills to work on remote servers
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Upper-intermediate level of English or higher

Nice to have

  • Mentoring or technical leadership experience
  • Experience testing SOAP services
  • Experience with messaging services (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQL, or similar)
  • Experience with on-premises product testing
  • Experience with XML, XPath, XQuery, XML Schema, and DOM in Java
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (Redis)
  • Experience with Grafana and Kibana
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
