Job Description:

Full-Time Career opportunity for a self-motivated professional to join the Finance team of a growing Mechanical Contractor specializing in Plumbing, HVAC and Fire Protection. Senior Accountant will partner with CFO on all financial affairs of the company including financial statements, analysis, systems development/maintenance/monitoring, credit, collections, sales tax, insurance, banking, audits, and internal controls.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the preparation of financial statements and analysis of operations in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Deliver financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting analysis
  • Analyze monthly financial performance. Communicate with senior management, providing executive-level financial results to support informed decision-making
  • Track and report key performance indicators to monitor financial health and operational efficiency
  • Responsible for the management of company’s fixed assets
  • Oversee credit and collections
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AP/AR/Cash & Payroll teams
  • Perform account review and reconciliations
  • Responsible for general ledger maintenance and support
  • Ensures the proper classification and accuracy of company expenditures
  • Develop, implement, maintain and enforce company procedures and controls
  • Participate in the research, development and implementation of new technologies, processes and procedures

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum 5 years progressive financial accounting/financial analysis including general and cost accounting / job costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and familiarity with ERP platforms
  • Expert communicator and problem solver
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
