Epic Opportunities is seeking candidates to fill our Senior Manager role in our dynamic team. Senior Managers are responsible to provide leadership, training and supervision to Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible to ensure outcome oriented, person-centred services for people served by Epic Opportunities.
Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership, training and supervision to Direct Support Professionals
Ensure outcome oriented, person-centred services for people served
Perform administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll and financial responsibilities
Be on call
Monitor and evaluate the achievement of outcomes
Provide coaching and mentorship
Hiring, providing orientation, training, and performance management
Initiate the gathering of information needed to gain an understanding of strengths, needs and goals
Implement strategies that foster on-going opportunities to learn, grow and develop
Build and maintain positive working relationships with families and support networks
Promote the concept of inclusion and full community participation
Ensure that all required financial documentation is completed and remitted in a timely manner
Requirements:
Degree in Social Sciences and/or Disability and Community Support Diploma is preferred
Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory position related to services for persons living with an intellectual disability is considered an asset
A valid Manitoba Driver’s License and use of a personal vehicle is required
Able to provide three (3) references, preferably from direct supervisors
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge, awareness and sensitivity to diverse cultures and traditions
Current First Aid/CPR is considered an asset
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training is considered an asset
Demonstrated ability to assist vulnerable people in achieving personal outcomes
Demonstrated commitment to community living
Ability to be flexible in their personal schedule to meet the needs of persons served and Direct Support Professionals
