Job Description

Brightstar is seeking a Senior Manager, Transportation and Distribution, to drive operational excellence across Global Transportation and Warehouse Operations. The Senior Manager will support strategic initiatives led by the Director of Global Logistics. The Manager owns Transportation performance and excellence, cost governance, carrier implementation and continuity, day-to-day execution — while also providing Leadership to the warehouse team to ensure end-to-end alignment from dock to delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage day-to-day performance of Brightstar’s carrier network across multiple transportation modes
  • Lead and coach Transportation Specialists to ensure timely, accurate, and customer-focused service
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and Logistics providers to ensure optimal service levels, reliability, and cost performance
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for all transportation-related decisions, exceptions, and customer-impacting issues
  • Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and routing guides for internal teams and external logistics partners to ensure consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all transportation modes
  • Assess transportation network efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement, consolidation, and standardization
  • Participate in carrier business reviews, support service agreements negotiations, and implement KPIs to measure on-time delivery, cost, and quality
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to freight planning, route optimization, and cost reduction
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support transportation data analysis, reporting, and system enhancements
  • Contribute to long-term transportation planning, including readiness for future technology or system implementations
  • Collaborate with Customs & Trade Compliance Lead on documentation and tariff considerations
  • Provide leadership oversight for daily warehouse operations managed by the Logistics Supervisor and Material Handlers
  • Support warehouse layout optimization, SOP development, and resource planning
  • Partner with IT and Logistics leadership to prepare warehouse operations for SAP WM
  • Ensure safety compliance, audit readiness, and Operational accuracy
  • Ensure alignment of warehouse activities with Global Logistics goals and service-level expectations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Logistics operations, with strong expertise in transportation and warehousing leadership
  • Hands-on experience managing Transportation and Warehouse teams
  • Familiarity with TMS, WMS and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate across Global teams and support strategic initiatives
