The hands on position leads and manages a North America strategic sourcing team of 4 plus team mates to implement and execute sourcing strategies for technical. The technical spend includes spares, consumables, and services in the following areas (not exhaustive): Diesel Generators, Life-saving equipment, Fire & Safety, Tools and MRO, Electrical Distribution, Elevators, Galley Equipment, Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, etc. The total spend for categories under scope is expected to be multi millions annually and includes both operating expenses & capital expenditures. The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholder teams across various operating companies and uses 7 step sourcing process to develop strategies that deliver breakthrough change.
Job Responsibility:
Develop & execute both short and long-term strategic sourcing plans for N. American brands
Leverage N. American volume, knowledge and relationships improve terms, cost and supply chain performance
Work with various parties to track, meet, and report on the cost innovation targets
Work with various stakeholders on strategic projects to determine business requirements, assess supply markets, develop a sourcing strategy
Lead Supplier Relationship Program for strategic supplier base
Participate in and lead N. America brands participation in Carnival Corporation's Corporate sourcing initiatives
Participate or lead conversations with Sr. leaders both internally and externally about strategic sourcing opportunities
Drive continuous improvement by identifying process enhancements
Provides formal supervision to individual employees in the technical sourcing team
