Job Description

The Sports, Leisure & Entertainment (SL&E) Team is part of Strategic Consulting (SCON) and provides strategic advisory services such as highest and best use studies, market and financial feasibility studies, concept development and master planning input, operator search & selection engagements and operational assessments.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct secondary and primary research to support strategic advisory projects
  • Source and update secondary data while maintaining and updating internal databases
  • Review and finalize SL&E reports with excellent report writing, financial analysis, and proposal preparation skills
  • Understand Middle East & Africa market dynamics and the drivers of the sport, leisure & entertainment sector
  • Keep abreast of key trends and developments in the global sport, leisure & entertainment sector
  • Drive and contribute to business development opportunities, attend networking events, and prepare pitch documents and presentations for existing clients and prospects
  • Manage input for weekly reporting status of enquiries, leads, proposals and projects in progress
  • Develop and implement recommendations, insights, storylines, and structures related to SL&E assets and experiences
  • Prepare, supervise and manage the development of high-quality deliverables
  • Take accountability for ensuring the highest quality deliverables are provided to JLL management and clients
  • Liaise with peers and other JLL departments to coordinate inputs for reports
  • Provide cross-selling opportunities into local and international JLL teams
  • Communicate with all stakeholders and colleagues to ensure efficient and professional task delivery
  • Be proactive in raising issues to JLL management and address them accordingly
  • Ensure highest quality standards in accordance with JLL standards
  • Build and maintain goodwill, confidentiality, and trust with prospective and existing clients
  • Manage Analyst and Client relationships to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget and reflect JLL quality

Requirements

  • Relevant bachelor's degree from a reputable university in leisure, sport, tourism, hospitality or entertainment
  • Master's degree in business, finance, investment, or related field (leisure, tourism, hospitality) preferred
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in sports, leisure, and entertainment real estate
  • Passion for the SL&E sector
  • Arabic speaker preferred
  • Experience in real estate development, hospitality advisory, tourism, leisure and sport operation or hotel consulting preferred
  • Functional knowledge of regional and global sport, leisure & entertainment markets
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with Excel and financial models
  • Understanding of P&L, Financial Projections & Real Estate Development
  • Skilled in developing feasibility studies with complete understanding of ROI, IRR, NPV, Payback calculations
  • Understanding of real estate development and SL&E development processes
  • Understanding of demand determination and forecasting
  • Ability to analyze monthly and yearly P&Ls and convert into reports
  • Ability to understand and review Operator Management Agreements
  • Good verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Clear and logical strategic thinker with well-developed report writing skills
