Job Description

Bilt is the membership for where you live. What started as a way to reward people on their largest expense has turned into an ecosystem connecting our members, property managers and local merchants. Travel, dining, fitness, everyday spend. We are building systems across payments, credit, loyalty, and commerce all at once. We run lean and move quickly. Every person here has a real impact on what gets built and how fast it happens. This role comes with real ownership and high expectations. If you prefer clearly defined lanes and structure, this will feel uncomfortable. If you want to build quickly, have a real say in what gets built, and work on products used by millions, you will likely do your best work here. We're looking for a Senior Manager of Social Media to own Bilt's presence across our social platforms - Instagram, Tiktok, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other B2C and B2B-facing platforms — as well as shape the public voice of our key leadership. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for someone who is genuinely obsessed with what's happening in the world: the news cycle, renter trends, the social landscape, and thought leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and grow Bilt's channels across our Member and B2B audiences
  • Collaborate with our Media Studio team to develop and execute B2C facing social (on Instagram and TikTok) that tells Bilt's story while organically reaching large audiences
  • Develop and execute a content strategy that positions Bilt as an innovative, forward-thinking force in the rewards, real estate, and fintech space
  • Produce and publish content across formats - written posts, threads, short-form video, graphics - that reflects Bilt's unique voice and POV
  • Lead the production process for your content: from ideation and scripting, to coordinating internal talent, locations, and shoot schedules, to overseeing post-production with internal and external editors
  • Amplify product launches, announcements, and milestones to maximize reach and impact
  • Maintain a content calendar and publishing cadence across platforms, balancing planned content with timely, reactive moments
  • Drive Executive Thought Leadership
  • Manage social channels for select senior leaders, including drafting posts, responding to comments, and actively engaging in relevant conversations on their behalf
  • Develop and maintain a thought leadership strategy that reflects our authentic voice while pushing Bilt's broader narrative forward
  • Join internal meetings, events, and offsites to capture content - filming, identifying moments, and ensuring there's always a pipeline of material to work with
  • Build and manage content calendars, coordinating closely with schedules and key business moments
  • Content Creation & Production
  • Write and edit high-quality content across formats: short-form posts, long-form LinkedIn articles, video scripts, captions, and more
  • Develop and produce short-form video content for social, including coordinating shoots, directing on-screen talent, and managing post-production for social formats
  • Maintain a consistent, compelling brand voice across all content that feels human, confident, and ahead of the curve
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, product, comms, and design to ensure social content aligns with broader company moments and campaigns

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in social media, content strategy, or thought leadership, ideally at a high-growth startup, fintech, or consumer brand where you were setting the agenda, not following one
  • You are very online. Twitter and LinkedIn are tabs you never close. Your FYP and Reels tab are dialed. You understand the culture of each platform natively and know how to build an audience, not just broadcast to one
  • A news obsessive - you read widely, across tech, finance, policy, and culture, and you have sharp instincts for reactive content: when to jump in, what angle to take, and when to stay quiet
  • Deep fluency in AI and emerging technology
  • A strong, versatile writer who can shift between brand voice and executive voice without losing what makes either one compelling
  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple content calendars, stakeholders, and competing deadlines without losing the thread

What we offer

  • Competitive salary with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and our performance bonus program
  • Medical Insurance (for you and your loved one) - We offer a variety of different subsidized medical plans (with dental and vision), including a free HDHP with a company-sponsored HSA contribution
  • Wellness Benefits - Enjoy a One Medical Membership, Wellhub (Gympass) Access, family planning programs and more, on us
  • 401k plan with a match
  • Commuter FSAs
  • UNLIMITED PTO
  • Exclusive Employee only Bilt Points
  • Team Events
