Job Description:

As Senior IT Risk & Compliance Manager, you'll play a key role in strengthening how Bank of Ireland manages technology and information security risk across the Group. Working within Enterprise Services, you'll help ensure our IT run and change activities meet regulatory expectations, support secure and resilient systems, and enable strong technology governance. This is an opportunity to influence decision-making, support regulatory confidence and embed effective risk management practices across a complex, evolving technology environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee IT and information security risk and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to regulations, Group policies and internal standards, including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA)
  • Identify, assess, monitor and report technology and security risks across IT operations, change delivery and third-party technology arrangements
  • Support regulatory engagement and coordinate internal and external assurance activity related to technology risk and controls
  • Partner with IT, Information Security and business teams to embed effective risk management into delivery processes and governance forums
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing IT Risk and Compliance team, fostering a strong risk culture and clear accountability

Requirements:

  • A relevant academic qualification
  • Strong understanding of banking regulation, supervisory expectations and technology risk management in a regulated environment
  • Ability to assess and communicate complex IT and security risks clearly
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of IT and information security risk frameworks and control standards
  • Professional certifications such as CISA or CISM
