Job Description:

Provide deep analytics around the most complex issues facing revenue management, including segmentation, pricing, demand, promotions, and market share. Develop models and reports to help other analysts and business leaders identify underlying business trends, risks, and opportunities, and pinpoint hotels needing additional support. Implement these processes, reports, and strategies using various technologies, and present them to senior leaders as necessary.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform complex analyses for marketing programs to support Data Science and Revenue Management teams, identifying opportunities for advanced analytics to enhance productivity, satisfaction, and profitability
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in data modeling and statistical analysis, and identify and solve complex problems affecting daily work
  • Understand different revenue potentials of customer/stakeholder groups and maintain industry knowledge to implement beneficial strategies
  • Lead analytics and data strategy teams, providing technical assistance, best practices, and business expertise to troubleshoot data challenges
  • Model and promote proper use of facilities and materials, manage technical assignments, and coach others on advanced issues
  • Reinforce technical standards and processes, driving revenue and market share growth through analysis and reports
  • Develop and measure the effectiveness of pricing and revenue strategies, presenting analytical insights to leaders and explaining complex data clearly
  • Create interactive dashboards for stakeholders and develop and support reporting tools and models to achieve business objectives
  • Conduct revenue management reporting for group and transient performance, maintaining system knowledge to guide competitive rate shopping
  • Monitor and enhance revenue management systems and processes, identifying strategic objectives with stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue teams to improve measurement processes, acting as the primary contact for reporting and data
  • Communicate results to stakeholders promptly, explaining changes and their impacts

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, related major OR 4-year bachelor's degree in related quantitative discipline (finance, operations, economics, statistics, mathematics), or related major
  • 6 years of experience in relevant field.

Nice to have:

  • Strong data analysis skills, including experience querying and manipulation of large quantities of data using applications such as SQL, SAS, Access and Excel (pivot tables, modeling, etc.)
  • MBA or advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience with statistical analysis, business intelligence tools and analyzing data using SQL or SAS is significant a plus
