The Role: Right now, we need to strengthen our R&D team in Milton Keynes with a Senior Manager, PM Amps who will take ownership of the project management function for Amps and build it into something that works consistently, at scale, and in step with the pace of our product development. We have talented project managers already in place, but the team needs a leader who can bring structure, tools, and focus so they can do their best work. Job Responsibility
Lead and develop the project management team for Amps, supporting each team member's growth and ensuring they have the time and focus to do their best work
Own the development and implementation of project management processes, tools, and ways of working across the Amps organisation
Drive product decision meetings and manage project reporting and escalations to senior leadership
Plan and align project budgets and expenditure in close collaboration with other teams
Develop efficient ways of working with key suppliers and across the business to shorten time to market
Lead a selection of own projects alongside team management responsibilities
Requirements
Five or more years of project management experience, ideally within a product development environment spanning both hardware and software
Proven experience leading a project management function, PMO, or team of project managers, including managerial responsibility for resource allocation and budget
A track record of introducing or scaling project management processes and tools within an organisation, with demonstrated ability to drive adoption
Experience working with agile development methodologies and leading change in a cross-functional setting
A degree in an engineering discipline, with a Master's level qualification being a strong advantage
