Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Pharmacy Access & Operations is a critical leader within the Market Access & Trade team, responsible for managing the daily execution and long-term strategy of the company’s specialty pharmacy and distribution network. This role serves as the operational and account management lead for trade and channel partners, ensuring seamless product availability, high-quality patient access, and excellence in operational performance. This individual will own partner pharmacy relationships, coordinate cross-functional efforts across supply chain, finance, commercial, and patient services, and lead initiatives that support compliant and efficient product distribution.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for specialty pharmacy partners in the company’s limited distribution network (LDN)
  • Oversee onboarding and implementation of new pharmacy partners
  • Monitor partner performance (e.g., dispense turnaround, call center metrics, patient adherence) and lead performance improvement initiatives
  • Lead ongoing business reviews with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Manage operational execution of partner pharmacy strategy, including order fulfillment, inventory visibility, and returns
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability and efficient distribution to partner pharmacies
  • Support accurate and timely processing of chargebacks, rebates, and distribution-related financial transactions
  • Maintain and optimize pharmacy operations processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Manage Day to Day operations with Customer Care, Market Access, Commercial, and teams to ensure alignment across the patient access journey
  • Partner with Finance to track distribution costs, partner invoicing, and chargeback reconciliations
  • Contribute to the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and analytics dashboards related to pharmacy and trade operations
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance standards
  • Support audit readiness and documentation for pharmacy and distribution programs
  • Maintain detailed documentation of operational processes and partner performance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of experience in market access, trade & distribution, pharmacy account management, or supply chain within the pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industries
  • Proven experience working with specialty pharmacy and/or limited distribution networks
  • Deep understanding of product access, reimbursement pathways, and channel operations
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Working knowledge of government pricing, chargeback processing, and 3PL coordination
  • Familiarity with CRM and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI, Excel)
