This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large team, reporting directly into the VP of our European Clinical business segment. General Purpose of Role: Represents the Operations department at a senior management level and to the rest of the PCI Group reporting into an SLT member. Ensure that PCI Bridgend’s operational activities are effective and efficiently implemented while maintaining excellent levels of customer, staff, and supplier satisfaction. Support, develop and manage the sites process and continuous improvement initiatives and One PCI’s Lean Maturity Index Support cross functional leaders and employees to strive for operational excellence through Safety, Quality, Technical Operations, Project Management, Logistics, Procurement, Finance and HR. Harmonise within PCI culture to deliver the industries leading pristine customer experience. This role requires you to have strong leadership and management skills where you will regularly attend customer and client meetings reporting on operational activities, addressing concerns, and implementing corrective solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Ensure operational KPIs are achieved and delivered in line with site and business targets working with cross functional teams for Right First Time through the business
Oversight and liaise with procurement and suppliers for operational consumables as required to support day to day requirements
Maintain constant focus on customer satisfaction to deliver quality products on time and in full meeting clinical requirements
Monitor and control operations department budget to ensure good cost control
Support Business Development where required to give operational support during client site visits, calls or bid defence meetings
Provide Operational oversight for SQDCP assessment of new business and technical review of proposal documentation
Ensure that operational areas are always audit ready
Ensure all areas are compliant and adhering to Health and Safety rules for the site
Support of succession plans for site headcount and career growth
To ensure high levels of staff motivation and satisfaction are achieved on site
Where required, undertake tasks and projects outside the job holder’s area of responsibility
Requirements:
An excellent understanding of Quality Standards including GMP, GCP and GDP
Ability to manage and lead teams
Six Sigma or Lean Background
Working to Standard Operating procedures
Excellent written and communication skills
Strategic thinking skills
IT literate with good knowledge of ERP systems, MS Office applications and internet functionality
You will be an analytical thinker with proven problem-solving abilities
Always focused on providing pristine customer service
you are self-confident, decisive and possess excellent written and verbal communication
