Job Description

Strategic, data-driven Senior Manager of Renewals to lead our renewals team and drive customer retention and growth. Responsible for building and scaling our renewals function, partnering closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Finance, and ensuring our customers continue to see value in PagerDuty.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing renewals team
  • Own the end-to-end renewals process including forecasting, pipeline management, and contract negotiations
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to identify expansion opportunities and proactively address renewal risks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Product to streamline processes
  • Analyze renewal data and trends to inform strategy and report on key metrics
  • Develop and implement best practices, playbooks, and enablement for the renewals team
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex or high-value renewals

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in SaaS renewals, account management, or customer success
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of driving high renewal rates and leading teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly, and drive results
  • Passion for customer success and a collaborative, team-first attitude

  • Serve as primary client interface, ensuring clear communication of technical risks, mitigations, and recommendations to lenders, investors, and sponsors
  • Coordinate and oversee technical specialists (civil, electrical, structural, energy modeling, storage, environmental) to deliver high-quality, bankable reports under tight deadlines
  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for multiple concurrent projects
