We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Publishing to oversee and elevate all publishing operations across Playmaker’s network. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of content operations, platform expertise, and team management, ensuring our content is published accurately, consistently, and at scale. You’ll manage a small but impactful team, partner closely with Account Management and Production, and serve as our in-house expert across YouTube, social, and audio platforms. You’ll report directly to Morgan Allison and play a key role in shaping how our content reaches audiences across platforms.

Job Responsibility

  • Own all daily and weekly publishing operations across Playmaker’s content network
  • Lead and manage a team of two Publishing Coordinators, providing guidance, prioritization, and support
  • Ensure accurate and consistent execution of titles, thumbnails, posting schedules, and platform best practices
  • Partner closely with Account Management to guarantee clean and accurate sponsorship integrations
  • Act as the internal expert across YouTube, social media, and audio platforms, proactively testing and optimizing new strategies
  • Collaborate with Production to ensure smooth handoffs from edit to publish, while maintaining quality and timelines
  • Support QA processes by reviewing final exports and published content for accuracy
  • Monitor performance and contribute to platform reports, recaps, and optimization insights
  • Support experiments such as A/B testing titles and thumbnails, new formats, and discoverability tactics
  • Assist with special releases, live episodes, or re-edits when needed

Requirements

  • 3–4+ years of experience in content operations, podcast publishing, or digital media production
  • Deep familiarity with YouTube Studio and podcast hosting platforms (e.g. Megaphone, Acast, OMNY)
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
  • Experience collaborating across teams such as Production, Marketing, and Account Management
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for content and storytelling
