Job Description

Our client, a family-owned manufacturer in Bohemia, is looking to add a Senior Manager of Financial Reporting to their growing team. This person will play a key role in leading the financial reporting function, organizing and presenting financial data to support decision making across the firm.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the financial reporting function
  • Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements and presentations
  • Organize and analyze financial data
  • Lead the development and implementation of improvements to procedures and internal controls
  • Participate in budgeting process
  • Participate in audit process
  • Research relevant accounting treatment of unusual transactions and new accounting pronouncements to ensure US GAAP compliance and IAS
  • Prepare and review key performance metrics
  • Prepare and maintain analyses for various financial and operational business activities
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA
  • 5+ years of experience (must be an active CPA)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel
