This position is focused on developing and implementing market access strategies for new assets. The role involves leading a cross-functional team to ensure optimal patient access and appropriate pricing. The ideal candidate will scrutinize commercialization plans, obtain endorsements from therapeutic area leads, and support new asset analysis. This position also requires developing value claims for brand NDA submissions and supporting long-range revenue and expense forecasting.
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement access plans for assigned assets, including scenario-based pricing assumptions and strategic initiatives to accelerate launch timing
Lead discussions and presentations to senior management to secure funding for launch optimization projects, such as HEOR and HTA
Work closely with a variety of internal colleagues, including Global Access & Value and Global Medicine Team, through JMT/JVT/JAT
Participate in committees like JDC/J-PRC and Global DP3 for portfolio entry and asset assessment
Support new asset analysis by developing long-range revenue, expense, and demand forecasts for pipeline assets and BD projects.
Requirements
Possess a strong understanding of health policy, health system dynamics, and pricing and reimbursement systems
Have strong English skills for communicating with global stakeholders and negotiating Japan's needs
Demonstrate excellent communication skills for interacting with executive-level stakeholders, both internal and external
Show a strong understanding of secondary and publicly available market data, along with strong analytical skills
Have prior experience in marketing, new product planning and analysis, or database/market analysis within the pharma industry or other sectors.
