The Department of Investigations is a subgroup of the Global Safety & Security (GS&S) organization. This Department's mission places a strong emphasis on mitigating financial, identify theft and economic crime. The Department performs a wide range of investigations into allegations of serious misconduct, threats and criminal activity committed by associates, guests and other third parties, in order to ensure and safeguard the assets and protect the reputation of Marriott International.
Job Responsibility:
Manage or directly provide specific investigative services, projects and information
Manage outside vendors for undercover investigations
Influence internal management regarding employment actions resulting from theft, drug abuse, fraud or serious misconduct
Provide on-site closure of investigations to legally defendable conclusions
Manage or deliver technical, legal and communication requirements for covert electronic video surveillance
Access and manage process of publicly held information for due diligence analysis
Provide direct on-site unit assistance for property specific investigations
Gather and coordinate information
Provide technical expertise in investigative interviews
Respond to and support MI requests for specialized investigative direction
Implement and manage internal investigations for theft, fraud, and drug abuse
Conduct post investigative interviews with associates violating company policies
Provide intelligence gathering via internet and subscription databases
Respond to requests involving credit card, checks counterfeiting and system or computer fraud
Build effective communication networks with law enforcement agencies
Provide direct counsel to MI units on effective investigation methods
Schedule, organize and/or attend Company prosecution appearances in court
Requirements:
B.S. degree and/or relevant experience
At least 8 years of progressive Investigation or Audit experience
Identifying and analyzing case evidence before constructing an effective interview plan
Investigative interview skills within local employment law requirements
