The Senior Manager of Indirect Procurement will lead the global Indirect Procurement function and be responsible to work with other Business Unit Owners throughout the company to facilitate, develop and manage the RFP process for indirect spend on products and services. This responsibility involves gaining and applying knowledge of the products and services purchased by other areas of the company in bringing best value in product selection, quality, service and pricing. This position will also be responsible for reporting and tracking savings and presentations to management on a periodic basis.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the global Indirect Procurement team with oversight over all indirect procurement categories
Develop specific strategies for each of our major indirect procurement categories across technology, supply chain, marketing and professional services
Facilitate the RFP process with other areas of the company and provide them with guidance, defined processes, developed purchasing strategies, project updates and reporting
Develop creative procurement strategies while designing and aligning procurement processes and policies with business requirements
Minimize cost and maximize value in the procurement process by applying best / leading practices across sourcing, new / nontraditional supplier development, negotiations, benchmark modeling, and other process improvements and facilitate their implementation
Ensure compliance with policies and programs in alignment with sourcing strategy
and that appropriate audit trails are embedded in procurement programs, for internal audit and performance management purposes
Review initiatives, investigate opportunities, develop and issue vendor surveys, proposal templates and define negotiation strategy templates
Meet with vendors to review their proposals and negotiate pricing, vendor terms, conversion allowances, growth programs, warranties, parts pricing and service agreements to bring best value
Track and report on savings, make recommendations, award business, draft and issue agreements, implement new programs and resolve vendor disputes
Manage program performance relative to supplier performance, company compliance, and cost savings objectives
Drive Supplier Management strategies to align to corporate KPIs with mission & vision
Create templates for Supplier Management process (scorecards, questionnaires, supplier meetings, annual performance reviews, etc.)
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendor partners to facilitate best value and to reduce costs
Analyze and evaluate performance data from less-than-perfect sources, and to construct and develop improvement programs
Perform duties consistent with the company’s AAP/EEO goals and policies
Perform other duties as required/assigned by manager
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration and previous Procurement Management experience
5 - 7 years experience in procurement in a multi-business environment
Direct experience driving Procure to Pay value stream
Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, SharePoint
