The HR Site Manager – Milan and Bologna acts as a strategic business partner for key enabling functions and local leadership teams, ensuring end-to-end HR support across the employee lifecycle. The role drives organizational effectiveness, supports business decision-making, and contributes to transformation initiatives through strong HR governance, people strategies, and employee engagement. The position requires the ability to operate in a multi-site environment, partnering with leaders and translating business priorities into effective people actions, ensuring alignment with Alfasigma’s culture, growth strategy, and transformation journey.
Job Responsibility
Act as a strategic partner to business leaders, supporting organizational design, workforce planning, and talent decisions
Provide guidance on complex people topics, ensuring alignment with business strategy and HR priorities
Contribute to the execution of transformation initiatives at site level
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding
Ensure effective coordination of HR administrative processes and high-quality service delivery
Guarantee consistency and compliance across both Milan and Bologna sites
Manage labor relations at site level in compliance with Italian labor law and company policies
Provide clear guidance on key Italian labor institutes (e.g., 13th/14th salary, holidays, leaves), including to international stakeholders
Support audits and ensure strong governance and risk mitigation
Act as a local change agent supporting organizational transformation and evolution
Partner with leaders to translate strategic priorities into clear communication and actions for employees
Support employee engagement initiatives, including culture, employee survey, EVP and talent priorities
Promote feedback loops and gather insights to improve engagement and organizational effectiveness
Work closely with Finance and Legal to ensure compliance, cost control, and effective decision-making
Support business understanding of priorities by translating complex topics into clear and actionable insights
Develop and implement training and development initiatives aligned with business needs
Support talent management, succession planning, and capability building
Develop and implement Italian Graduate and Internship Programs
Strengthen leadership effectiveness and people management practices
Enable leaders to effectively engage and communicate with their teams
Reinforce Alfasigma culture and values, promoting high-performance teams and accountability
Act as a role model for collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement
Apply Lean Thinking principles to optimize HR processes and eliminate inefficiencies
Continuously improving HR service delivery and employee experience
Requirements
10 plus years of change and transformation HR experience with a strong track record of developing and executing at a local level across diverse audiences
Strategic thinker and hands-on doer, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills at all levels with the gravitas and confidence to build trusted long-term relationships quickly
Experience managing internal and external relationships with Works Council
Solid knowledge of labor relations and compliance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, making timely decisions with strong attention to detail
Desire to continuously learn, demonstrate agility, flexibility and growth mindset
Strong business acumen and understanding of how HR and people engagement support business objectives and drives performance
Proactively champions new, innovative, and creative approaches that drive effectiveness, including technology solutions
Strong written and verbal skills with good working English
