We’re looking for an experienced Retention Marketer (and people manager!) to join our Growth Marketing team and drive user activation, engagement, and retention. In this role, you’ll craft personalized campaigns, translate data and user insights into action, and collaborate across Product, Marketing, and Design to build and scale high-impact experiments. You’ll lead a high performing team to hit their business goals AND professional goals. Your work will shape how athletes experience Strava, ensuring they stay engaged and motivated on their fitness journey.
Job Responsibility:
Own a key business area: Oversee and be a key driver of our free product retention strategy, developing a roadmap and learning agenda toward a clearly defined goal
Lead a high performing team: Manage at least two direct reports, coaching them toward their professional development goals while optimizing their workload to prioritize for impact
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: As a data-driven growth marketer, you excel at working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to improve email, push and in-app touch points for incremental impact and insights
Build and launch personalized campaigns: One size fits all does not work for Strava’s diverse user base. You’ll be tasked with understanding top user segments and use cases, delivering focused messaging to the right user at the right time
Consistently measure and report performance & takeaways: We run fast-paced, impactful campaigns to optimize for takeaways. You’ll rigorously A/B test and implement a takeaway agenda that improves metrics across the funnel
Empower others: Through clear documentation, playbooking, and socialization you will help others achieve their goals, amplify your impact, and reinforce your subject matter expertise
Requirements:
7+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, or CRM
Experience working in marketing automation tools (such as Iterable) to build personalized push & email journeys
2+ years of experience managing direct reports with a proven track record
Strong communication and collaboration skills - Ability to effectively link between teammates and cross-functional partners across the organization
Experience with A/B testing, experimentation tools (such as Eppo) and reading reporting tools (such as Tableau)
