The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of Global Risk Management in Latin America by ensuring specific goals and initiatives are executed in support of broader business strategies. Reporting to the leadership team, you will ensure all credit adjudication and monitoring activities are conducted within a strong risk culture, focusing on emerging risks and regulatory compliance. You will act as a strategic challenger to business lines, ensuring that the bank’s risk-return profile remains robust while enabling innovation and digital transformation within risk processes.
Job Responsibility:
Adjudicate credit requests up to assigned limits and provide sound recommendations for larger or high-risk loans
Evaluate financial and non-financial risks to ensure accurate client profiling and compliance with regulatory requirements
Review and authorize risk assessments and rating assignments, monitoring changes in creditworthiness
Participate in risk committees and deal forums as a strategic advisor to the Banking team
Actively engage in the client relationship experience, providing feedback on assigned accounts and participating in site visits or calls
Ensure the adjudication process meets established SLA parameters for a seamless client experience
Partner with Banking teams to develop credit strategies aligned with the bank's risk appetite
Conduct proactive monitoring of "Early Warning Signs" and sectoral trends to ensure timely action on portfolios
Review non-standard documentation and validate critical data elements in credit systems
Drive the digitization of risk processes to improve the speed and accuracy of credit decisions
Ensure all day-to-day activities adhere to the Bank’s Risk Appetite, Code of Conduct, and AML/ATF/Sanctions regulations
Foster an environment where employees feel empowered to speak up and raise concerns
Requirements:
Native or professional fluency in Spanish and English is strictly required
A university degree is required
An MBA or professional designations (e.g., CPA, CFA) are considered strong assets
Proven experience in credit analysis within Corporate or Commercial Banking, including deep knowledge of credit structures, protections, and financial projections
Exceptional negotiation and problem-resolution skills

Strong time management skills to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
