The Senior Manager of Global Procurement – Data Analytics will spearhead initiatives to leverage data-driven insights to enhance procurement strategies and operational efficiencies. This role involves leading the development and application of advanced analytics to drive decision-making, optimize procurement activities, and ensure data compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Data Analytics Leadership: Develop and execute a sophisticated analytics strategy to enhance procurement decision-making and achieve business objectives. Oversee the use of advanced analytics tools to analyze procurement data, identifying trends, efficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction
Strategic Implementation of Analytics Projects: Lead projects that utilize data analytics to improve procurement processes. Ensure that analytical approaches are innovative and aligned with the latest in data science, including predictive analytics and machine learning
Team Leadership and Talent Development: Manage a team of data analysts and data scientists. Mentor staff, fostering a culture of analytical excellence and continuous development
Integration of Analytics and Business Strategy: Collaborate with senior procurement leaders to integrate analytics into all aspects of procurement strategy. Use data insights to support negotiations, supplier selection, and category management
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders across the organization to communicate data-driven insights and recommendations. Facilitate the adoption of analytics-driven approaches within procurement
Compliance Oversight: Ensure that data and analytics practices within procurement adhere to relevant regulatory requirements. Manage and enhance compliance by leveraging procurement data to ensure adherence to global regulatory standards and internal policies. Develop robust data analytics frameworks to monitor risks and enforce compliance, effectively coordinating with legal and audit teams to maintain integrity and transparency across all procurement operations
Training Execution: If required, support training sessions in partnership with key SMEs, including live training and training videos on use case functionality & enhancements
Requirements:
B.S./B.A in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 6-8 years of business experience
Minimum of 4-6 years of procurement technology experience
Minimum of 1 year Pharmaceutical Procurement experience
Advanced knowledge of procurement technologies and systems
Advanced data/information and analytics management (including cycle times, KPI’s and SLA’s), continuous improvement expertise, and project management skills
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and derive actionable insights
Experience with procurement technology and software systems, such as procurement ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning), spend analysis tools, and data visualization tools
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams
Ability to navigate ambiguity
High degree of initiative and self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully
Team-oriented, with a focus on achieving team goals
