We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, Financial Partnerships, LPMs, to expand and strengthen Airwallex’s global partner ecosystem. In this role, you will drive the development of our Local Payment Methods (LPMs) infrastructure across EMEA, the US, and LATAM, while managing key strategic relationships with financial institutions and payment partners. The ideal candidate is a proactive, creative problem-solver with deep experience in payments, financial services, and partnership management. • Own and grow our most strategic partner relationships—serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring strong collaboration and commercial success
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to ensure Airwallex maintains a leadership position in global payments
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new partners, including local payment methods, schemes, BNPL providers, digital wallets, and local bank transfer solutions as we expand into new markets

  • Establish yourself as an industry thought leader, representing Airwallex in partner meetings, industry events, and forums

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience working with LPMs, BNPLs, PSPs, financial institutions, card schemes, or payment networks
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • A good understanding of compliance and onboarding with global and regional LPMs
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Commercial teams

  • You are an exceptional communicator – you’re able to connect with people at all levels, both internally and externally, and communicate project expectations effectively
  • You thrive under pressure – and work well with constant change and the ambiguity of a startup environment
  • You have strong negotiation skills – to navigate complex commercial discussions to ensure the best outcome for Airwallex
  • You’re a team player - work cohesively with colleagues from across the organization and be able to inspire a shared vision

Nice to have:

  • Proven experience at a global, pre-IPO startup
  • Experience building a financial partnerships function in a new geography
  • Experience with Fintech thought leadership
