Job Description:

As the Senior Manager Financial Partnerships APAC, you will be responsible for building, evaluating and managing Airwallex’s key financial partnerships with banks across APAC, with the goal to deepen Airwallex’s product capabilities in the region, as well as enable Airwallex to launch in new markets. You will play a critical role in the Financial Partnerships team by scoping, establishing, negotiating, implementing, and operationalising complex partnership engagements. This role will be the bridge between financial partners and internal stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and outcomes for the company. You will also contribute to M&A activities that will have a material impact on the business by providing access to regulatory licenses in new geographies. In addition to Financial Partnerships, you will help in collaborating in new market development efforts by identifying acquisition targets, financial analysis and due diligence process ensuring alignment with Airwallex’s strategic goals and regulatory needs.

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar role in fintech / technology or top-tier management strategy/management consulting
  • Experience in commercial negotiation and partnership sourcing and management
  • Excellent written, verbal and in-person communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and thrives under pressure

Nice to have:

  • Prior M&A Investment Banking experience is a plus
  • Experience in the payments industry, preferably having managed partnerships with Financial Institutions including banks, schemes, payment methods, as well as other fintechs in the ecosystem
  • Experience working in both big organisations as well as fast-growing startups
