In this role, you’ll step into a senior leadership position where you’ll shape the future of Vodafone UK’s Enterprise Platforms. You’ll drive high‑quality technical delivery, nurture a thriving engineering culture, and ensure our platforms empower customers to connect with Vodafone in meaningful, seamless ways. You’ll be the technology leader who brings clarity, direction, and inspiration to teams and stakeholders across the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the end-to-end ownership of Enterprise Platforms—including the Vodafone Business Portal, legacy applications (VCO, iServe, Partner Portal) and internal platforms—ensuring they deliver against business objectives and strategic outcomes
  • Set clear goals, define timelines, allocate resources, and ensure delivery is always on time, on budget, and to exceptional quality standards
  • Shape the technical design and direction of our digital buy journeys, empowering engineers to create solutions aligned with strategic HLD/LLD expectations
  • Bridge the gap between engineering teams and business stakeholders—promoting open communication, aligned expectations, and innovative problem-solving that responds to evolving customer needs
  • Mentor and grow engineering leaders, championing a collaborative, people-first culture rooted in coaching, continuous feedback, and career development
  • Ensure best-in-class customer experiences by driving performance excellence, platform reliability, and high customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Deep end-to-end engineering expertise across technologies such as React, Java, NodeJS, Microservices and RESTful APIs in cloud environments
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle
  • Experience building, inspiring and uplifting high-performing engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • Understanding of modern DevSecOps & Business Agility practices
  • Communicates with clarity, intention and adaptability
  • Confident collaborating across multiple locations, building strong working relationships, and aligning diverse teams toward shared goals
