The Senior Manager of Employee Housing and Community Services is responsible for the oversight, strategic planning, and day-to-day management of Aramark's employee housing and community life services within Yosemite National Park. This role ensures a safe, well-maintained, and supportive living environment for Aramark employees through the administration of housing operations, risk management, security, and robust recreation and wellness programming. The position manages a large, multidisciplinary team and plays a key leadership role in fostering a positive and engaged employee community in one of the most unique and remote work environments in the country.
Job Responsibility
Oversee the assignment and management of employee housing for Aramark team members, ensuring equitable and efficient occupancy processes
Lead a large operations team responsible for move-ins/outs, inspections, maintenance coordination, and cleanliness of multiple housing facilities
Implement and enforce Aramark housing policies, procedures, and expectations in alignment with company values and park standards
Respond to housing-related concerns and conflicts, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate documentation
Coordinate with Facilities and Maintenance to uphold cleanliness, livability, and regulatory standards
Evaluate and implement technology-driven solutions such as housing management software, and employee communication tools to improve efficiency and service delivery
Develop, implement, and regularly review housing risk mitigation strategies, including fire safety, emergency preparedness, and health protocols
Conduct investigations into housing-related incidents and ensure adherence to Aramark’s ethics and compliance standards
Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with National Park Service (NPS) guidelines, environmental regulations, and internal company policies
Design and implement recreation, engagement, and wellness programs that enhance the employee living experience and promote work-life balance
Collaborate with HR and other departments to provide resources and events that support physical, mental, and emotional well-being
Create inclusive and engaging programming that fosters community and retention across a diverse workforce
Supervise the overnight security team to ensure a safe and secure housing environment during all hours
Develop and enforce night-time safety protocols, manage incident reporting systems, and support employee concerns after hours
Recruit, train, and lead a large staff team across housing, cleaning, recreation, and security functions
Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, service excellence, and mutual respect among team members
Conduct regular performance reviews, manage scheduling and staffing needs, and provide ongoing coaching and support
Identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline operations through the use of technology platforms and digital workflows
Collaborate with IT, HR, and other departments to pilot or adopt new systems that support housing, wellness tracking, resident feedback, and security operations
Use analytics and reporting tools to monitor occupancy, team performance, incident trends, and resource utilization
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Facilities Management, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field
5+ years of experience in housing operations, property management, or employee services, with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role
Strong background in conflict resolution, compliance, team leadership, and multi-site operations
Experience in remote, hospitality, or seasonal workforce environments strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple departments
Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
