Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain an opportunity 'radar' of key consumer health needs/pain points, healthcare market dynamics and shifts, and white space opportunities in the broader health eco-system
  • proactively screen for new companies and services that could address these, as well as competitor moves
  • Identify and engage new potential high-value partner opportunities that help advance CVS consumer-driven healthcare strategy
  • Undertake in-depth evaluation of potential new partners to understand what unique capabilities they offer
  • their relative strengths and weaknesses vs competitors and alternatives
  • and what net new value they could deliver to our customers and broader business
  • Lead a structured evaluation of new partner opportunities with key internal business stakeholders
  • Build the business case to support high conviction partnerships – including financials, consumer experience impact, broader business outcomes, risks & risk mitigation strategies – to generate internal buy-in from relevant business partners
  • Work with partners and key internal business stakeholders incl UX/design teams, digital/tech delivery teams, clinical teams, legal, analytics/reporting, et al to progress partnership from early concept through multiple rounds of ideation to MVP/pilot definition, product development, and launch/go-to-market
  • Develop partnership go-to-market strategy incl defining key success measures
  • Manage all partnership-related activities, including: legal, contracting, patient safety, security and technology reviews

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Portfolio management, Strategy and/or Corporate Development, strategy consulting, and technical/functional expertise in Digital or Health
  • 2+ years cross-functional leadership experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams, performance management, and mentoring

Nice to have:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Expert level with business acumen and analytical skills
  • Experience driving and coordinating complex, cross-functional digital initiatives
  • Experience in a healthcare strategy role (i.e., BU or corporate strategy role at a payor, provider, pharmacy, and/or other healthcare sector)
