The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product team is at the core of American Express, uniquely positioned to service every business unit and customer across the Enterprise. Each year, we power billions of transactions through our global payments network, serving our Issuing and Acquiring businesses in more than 170 markets worldwide. We are driving a strategic, multi-year transformation to modernize our Acquirer solutions to build innovative products, services, and capabilities that will anticipate our merchant and acquiring partner needs. Reporting to the Director, Digital Product Management (Acquirer Integration & Onboarding) the role of Senior Manager, Digital Product Management will focus on building robust, transformational and scalable products which accelerate and enhance the onboarding, verification and integration experience of AXP Merchants and Third-Party Partners.
Job Responsibility:
Use an end-to-end product management lens to find opportunities which will automate, simplify and standardise the onboarding, verification and integration experience for AXP Merchants and Third Party Partners
Deliver both in-year and multiyear projects by governing to a strategic roadmap, creating the vision and direction for transformational investments in GMNS Acquiring modernisation
Create and lead cross functional teams to coordinate the design, delivery and implementation of technical solutions focused on delivering transformational benefits for both GMNS and our customers
Serve as a subject matter expert for the Payments Industry, with in-depth knowledge of industry practices and trends, conducting extensive, strategic analysis to provide consistent and competitive recommendations across international market regulatory environments
Facilitate resolution of complex risks, issues, and changes tied to initiatives and processes with broad impact to Merchants and Third Party recruitment partners
Manage and coordinate updates on risks, issues, and changes to ensure alignment with adjacent groups
Consider economics and identify opportunities to improve business value of acquiring products
Develop Senior Leader updates and present materials for product governance meetings
Develop a close partnership with multiple global business partners (e.g., GAPP, Risk, Pricing, GMS International, GCO, Policy, Technologies, Envisioning, etc.)
Requirements:
Product management and development skills, with strong technical acumen

Exceptional relationship management skillset, with the demonstrated ability to organise and bring colleagues together across multiple lines of business in pursuit of a common goal

Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
Exceptional project manager with the ability to build a project plan and manage it through a complex matrix of stakeholders to execution
Experience working in the acquiring space is essential, with a deep understanding of the roles played by Merchants, Intermediaries, Third Party Partners, Payment Networks and the challenges they face
Working hours flexibility given the international nature of the role
