Credit & Fraud Risk (CFR) department is responsible for protecting the company from credit losses and fraud risk by making the right decision that uphold operational excellence, drive sustainable growth and accelerate innovation. CFR has teams in multiple markets and Centers of Excellence across the world spanning Strategy, Decision Science, Capabilities & Data for different functions. The incumbent will be working on the Consumer and Commercial portfolios.
Job Responsibility:
Learn and apply concepts across the credit risk lifecycle (e.g., acquisition, credit line assignment, customer management) to support data-driven, profitable credit decisions
Support the team in enhancing credit risk strategies and management reporting by performing data analysis, identifying trends, and highlighting key findings to support risk discussions and decisions within the established enterprise risk framework and governance expectations
Collaborate with stakeholders across Hong Kong and global teams in a matrix environment, effectively communicating analyses, ideas, and findings
Assist in identifying emerging credit trends and process gaps, and proactively suggest improvements or growth opportunities, with an understanding of risk controls and governance considerations, demonstrating curiosity, critical thinking, and a willingness to ask thoughtful questions
Requirements:
Undergraduate or postgraduate students pursuing a degree in a quantitative or STEM-based discipline, preferably in their Year 3 or Final year of study
Strong programing skills, especially in Python and SQL, with the ability and hands-on experience in applying them to raw data for transformation and analysis
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, VBA, Tableau), business intelligence platforms (Google Cloud, Big Query), and large datasets is preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites is preferred
Prior Internship / Work Experience in Data Analytical role is preferred
Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply data-driven and innovative solutions to solve business and risk-related problems
Self-motivated individuals with ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a structured manner
Strong collaboration skills and able to work effectively in a matrix environment
Effective communication and presentation skills, including active listening and the ability to articulate ideas and influence others
