Job Description

The role will lead the enterprise-wide architecture strategy for data platforms, AI/ML, and analytics capabilities. The role ensures secure, scalable, and cost-efficient architectural foundations aligned with IT Reinvent and StackX principles, enabling automation, decision intelligence, and value delivery across VodafoneThree. It provides architectural leadership, governance, and assurance across platforms and programmes.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage a team of IT/Solution Architects, providing direction, coaching, and performance management
  • Set the strategic architecture direction for data, AI/ML, analytics, and MLOps platforms, establishing reference architectures, blueprints, patterns, and guardrails
  • Lead discovery and impact assessments across analytics, data modelling, MDM, streaming, AI/ML, MLOps, and FinOps to shape high-quality Solution Intents, ITDAs, and HLDs
  • Partner with Engineering, Cyber, Privacy, Cloud, and Product teams to ensure platform designs are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise strategy
  • Define and govern reusable patterns, including ingestion, data modelling, integration, and AI/ML deployment frameworks, ensuring consistency and quality across domains
  • Provide expert assurance through delivery, validating LLDs, resolving architectural risks and escalations, and maintaining design integrity throughout the development lifecycle
  • Enable cloud and data platform optimisation, embedding FinOps practices, observability, automation, and cost efficiency across architectures
  • Champion data quality, governance, and lifecycle management through strong architectural foundations and cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee vendor and tooling evaluation, ensuring technology choices align with enterprise needs, resilience, and long-term roadmap
  • Drive innovation in AI, automation, and cloud architecture, introducing modern solutions that accelerate business outcomes and reduce technical debt

Requirements

  • Strong background in solution, domain and enterprise architecture across large-scale systems and integration landscapes
  • Extensive experience in enterprise data architecture, AI/ML architecture, and cloud-native platform design
  • Strong knowledge of MLOps, data governance, streaming, analytics platforms, FinOps, and cloud-native patterns (AWS/GCP/Azure)
  • Proven ability to shape large-scale, secure, and resilient solutions in regulated environments
  • Deep familiarity with architecture governance frameworks and processes (e.g., ARB, blueprints, roadmaps, patterns)
  • Experience partnering with engineering, cloud, cyber, privacy, and product teams to deliver complex platform capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to lead architectural assessments, resolve cross-domain design risks, and enable predictable delivery
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement experience across technical and business domains
