Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead our Dairy Sanitation program. This role involves managing a team, implementing hygiene technologies, and supporting milk quality across dairy operations. The ideal candidate has strong industry knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for improving dairy standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Milk Quality Program: The milk quality program is a value-based program for creating higher value for the dairy, by focusing on the following system. Pro Control Parlor, Sanitation program and sales, water treatment, and the use of Micro’s proprietary technologies assisting the sanitation service and leading the QA team and coordinating those teams. Continue to develop new technologies. Work with manufacturer partners to ensure price integrity
  • Responsible for working the strategy in developing the Micro Milk Quality Program
  • Manage and oversee the Dairy Sanitation Quality Assurance team as they work with customers to onboard new customers, maintain current customers, diagnose and resolve issues onsite at customer facilities
  • Responsible for hiring, training, ensuring team members are following company guidelines and policies, etc
  • Assist in the search, evaluation and applicability of new profitable Udder Health and C/S products for dairies
  • Provide consultants with information regarding the value and technical benefits of the Micro Milk Quality management program, including Pro Control Blender, Pro Control Parlor, Dairy Chemical Mixer and other technologies as available
  • Focus on the application of Micro’s Milk Quality to different diets and detail the opportunities and flexibilities of utilizing the program to improve performance
  • Collaborate with consulting sanitation specialist in setting up washes with levels through Dairy Chemical Mixer, and Pro Control Parlor
  • Furnish customer/Service team support for Milk Quality program implementation and continued performance
  • Interact with leadership, sales, and operation teams to assist in reaching business growth goals. Present technical information to sales & operation teams to increase Company knowledge of opportunities in dairies
  • Work with dairy customers to implement new products and/or investigate uses for existing products within the Micro Milk Quality management program
  • Oversight of on-site projects to determine the economic value to the dairy, of the MICRO Milk Quality management program, specifically the Pro Control suite
  • Discover new opportunities for the use of Micro’s technologies to meet customer needs and create differentiation
  • Capture the needs of dairy customers from a technical aspect and assist the Dairy Sanitation team in the implementation of Milk Quality management programs to ensure that customer expectations are being met
  • Work closely with the Dairy Sanitation and Dairy Install and Service Manager to identify, evaluate, and implement new Dairy Sanitation products for dairy customers
  • Develop and monitor dairy specific KPI’s for the evaluation and improvement of technologies and programs
  • Sales: Responsible for technical sales strategy and support and for creating continued sanitation growth while utilizing all resources to increase the current sanitation sales. The previous includes sales, market share, differentiation and attractive margins
  • Requires working effectively with other team members in an effort to achieve sales, potential customers, installation, service and support
  • Installation: Responsible for assisting with the coordination of all related installation activities
  • Aiding in design, development and implementation of systems and programs when required
  • Assisting in evaluation and providing direction to all key dairy personnel to include Owners, Herd Manager, Parlor Manager and other key employees to deploy systems and programs
  • Assist in developing improvements, when necessary, to all system operations
  • Training: Coordinate and support training of dairy personnel in the correct implementation of the MICRO Milk Quality program
  • Develop positive working relationships with key dairy management, employees and consultants
  • Coordinate with the Sanitation Service Supervisor to monitor facility operation and effectiveness to include MICRO’s Preventative Maintenance Program
  • Develop or coordinate with available resources, tools that assist in the MICRO sales process
  • Responsible for working with other teams for developing and supporting the automated parlor systems
  • These responsibilities may include: Developing requirements for additional features
  • Assisting in the creation of a marketing program for the system
  • Other: Provide information / recommendations as appropriate directly to management concerning customer and management issues
  • Produce memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as needed to ensure clear communication and successful operation of MICRO’s systems
  • Cooperate with key team members as needed to complete projects
  • Provide knowledge to other MICRO team members on any process which will help streamline the sanitation delivery process and to help create an efficient system

Requirements:

  • Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • 5 plus years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be knowledgeable about all aspects of the dairy industry to include parlors, sanitation, sales, and marketing
  • Understanding of pulsation, milk sensors, and other parlor electronic equipment as well as the sanitation process and how it affects milk quality is required
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Position requires 15-35% travel
  • Core Competencies: Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Equipment Skills/Knowledge: Employee would/may be required to use the following equipment, including but not limited to, a computer including a variety of programs, fax, phone, 10-key calculator and printers.
