The Senior Manager Clinical Informatics will support the West or South Central Region, in understanding the clinical sales strategies and needs of the customer to help drive sales across Baxter’s US PSS, Care Communications and Connected Care organization with the aim at growing industry market share and bridging the gap between clinical and IT personnel at healthcare organizations. They will lead the development of clinical relationships with healthcare institutions for large, complex connectivity sales opportunities. The role will focus on collaborating, assessing, and presenting clinical strategies and findings to hospital executive clinical leadership and serve as an integral part of the regional sales team and supporting the overall business.
Job Responsibility
Engage with clinical and organizational leaders (CNO, CNE, CNIO, Patient Experience leaders, Communication leads) and develop relationships as trusted clinical advisors
Collaborate and assist sales in identifying clinical solutions while maintaining required guidelines of device performance for communication, workflow enhancements, connectivity and safety
Provide customers with an overview and understanding of how our connected platform will help achieve connectivity
Development and maintenance of Clinical Workflow assessment tools, collection, and input into the tool, analysis of the data and creation of executive summary
Support sales and implementation teams as a customer liaison for Clinical Implementation team's transition
Work with front-line IT and clinical compliance staff within client organizations to document existing workflows and the policies supporting existing practices
Pre-sale clinical presentations and support, providing clinical insights
Support the sales leadership and Regional Sales Managers in their development and deployment of strategic master plans within their territories
Cross collaborative engagement with Marketing and Product teams as the “voice of the customer”
Stay current on clinical trends economics, policies, and practices within the healthcare industry
Understand healthcare economic data to support territory business plans to meet/exceed assigned sales goals
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing or local equivalent of same REQUIRED
8+ years experience Nursing Leadership or Healthcare Leadership, with significant hospital based experience
Travel up to 75% including overnights
Must live close to a major airport within territory and be willing to travel
Experience interacting with and presenting to healthcare professionals, including C-Suites
Ability to learn and articulate high-level system architecture and design and logical data flow to downstream devices for client configurations
Solid understanding of clinical data and workflows
Nice to have
Masters (MS or MSN) in related healthcare field
