Job Description

A leading consulting firm is looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Manager to steer their financial services modernization division. In this executive-level role, you will champion strategic growth, architect complex technology and operating overhauls, and act as a trusted strategist to banking boardrooms navigating change.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee complex, multi-workstream modernizations from conception to value realization
  • Provide high-level counsel to executive stakeholders (CIOs, COOs, and Business Heads) on roadmap sequencing, architecture shifts, and risk management across key verticals (including Retail/Corporate Lending, Payments, Deposits, Risk, and Treasury)
  • Expand the firm's market footprint by identifying emerging client needs, quarterbacking high-stakes RFP defenses, and closing major consulting engagements
  • Build strategic alliances with software vendors and fintech pioneers to co-create market-ready solutions
  • Inspire and upskill a high-caliber consulting team
  • Elevate delivery standards by developing proprietary methodologies, frameworks, and thought leadership that reinforce the firm's market positioning

Requirements

  • 10+ years within a management or technology consulting firm, strictly serving banking and financial services clients
  • Proven success delivering large-scale core banking modernizations, digital banking overhauls, or complex target operating model (TOM) designs
  • Deep structural understanding of key banking functions (Payments, Corporate/Retail Lending, Trade Finance, Deposits, and back-office Operations/Risk/Finance)
  • Strong background in opportunity origination, proposal shaping, and facilitating executive steering committees with conflicting stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science preferred)
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in a consulting firm, with significant experience serving banking or financial services clients
