Job Description:

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Team Lead to guide the technical direction of our services, mentor and grow engineers, and ensure that our backend and QA teams deliver high-quality, resilient products. If you are passionate about leadership, architecture, and driving impactful work at scale — we’d love to hear from you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead backend and QA teams: plan and prioritize tasks, distribute workload, and oversee execution
  • Define and drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Write production-ready backend code (about 30–40% of your time) while focusing the rest on leadership, architecture, and team development
  • Mentor engineers and QA specialists: conduct regular 1:1s, support career growth, and foster a collaborative culture
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Oversee code quality, testing practices, and CI/CD processes to maintain high engineering standards
  • Ensure timely delivery of features and continuous improvement of development workflows

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional backend development experience with Java
  • Proven track record of leading backend development teams (3+ members)
  • Experience managing or collaborating with QA teams (manual + automation)
  • Strong knowledge of service-oriented architecture, REST, and distributed systems
  • Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL) and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Experience with system design, performance optimization, and scaling high-load services
  • Strong grasp of software engineering practices: OOP, design patterns, testing, CI/CD
  • Effective communication skills in English (B2+)

Nice to have:

  • Golang is nice to have
  • Experience with finance and trading, or knowledge of the industry
  • Familiar with TradingView
