As a Senior Manager in Asset Management’s Treasurers Office, you will play a key role in the oversight of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance programs for Fidelity’s alternative and retail funds. In this role you will provide support for the SOX 404 risk assessment, overall SOX program governance and continuous improvement across multiple products to ensure compliance with the requirements. You will think and work across Fidelity, partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, and with key business partners in Legal, Compliance, and Risk.
Job Responsibility
Play a key role in the oversight of the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Compliance programs for Fidelity’s alternative and retail funds
Provide support for the SOX 404 risk assessment, overall SOX program governance and continuous improvement across multiple products to ensure compliance with the requirements
Think and work across Fidelity, partnering with Fidelity Fund and Investment Operations, and with key business partners in Legal, Compliance, and Risk
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum 6+ years industry or equivalent experience
4+ years mutual fund accounting, financial reporting, public accounting or related financial experience
Experience with controls requirements including SOX 404
Advanced knowledge of the mutual fund business, investment types and alternative investment products
Strong technical accounting and regulatory knowledge, including SOX 404
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and dedication to accuracy
Excellent interpersonal communication including documentation skills and ability to summarize and present sophisticated findings in clear, organized, concise manner
Ability to partner with all levels as well as exercise discretion
Strong collaboration skills and an ability to work optimally across business units
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word as well as industry research tools
