A newly created role of Senior Manager Accounting & Finance has been created as the finance team is built out due to growth. Dual role that will need strong GAAP accounting paired with excellent FP&A knowledge. Series A company with 2 VC firms and a family office as investors. They will be raising their Series B this year. SaaS/Manufacturing focus with a need for strong ASC 606, Cognos and Inventory. The Senior Manager, Accounting & Finance is a critical hybrid role responsible for owning complex technical accounting areas while simultaneously driving forward-looking financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical insights & analysis. This role partners closely with the CFO and will be the key business partner
Job Responsibility:
Act as the subject-matter expert on ASC 606 revenue recognition
Lead inventory accounting
Build and maintain advanced Excel-based financial models, including fully integrated P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet models
Develop bottoms-up revenue, margin, and inventory forecasting models with scenario and sensitivity analysis
Own rolling forecasts, budget models, and long-range planning models
Support month-end and quarter-end close processes with a focus on revenue, inventory, and COGS accuracy
Partner with external auditors and accounting advisors on complex accounting matters
Improve financial processes, controls, and modeling discipline
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Product, and Legal to ensure financial alignment
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA & CFA strongly preferred
10+ years of progressive experience across technical accounting and financial planning & analysis
Deep, hands-on expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition
Strong experience with inventory accounting in product, SaaS + hardware, or mixed-revenue environments
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and experience working directly with auditors
Exposure to M&A integration, due diligence, or capital raises
