Job Description:

Senior Manager - Product Engineering role at HSBC focusing on process automation, execution resiliency engineering, and building continuous risk/control monitoring systems. The position involves working with technology to minimize manual testing, building automated functional tests, and supporting various automation and reporting initiatives within the risk team.

Job Responsibility:

Process Automation & Execution Resiliency Engineer
Building continuous risk/control monitoring setup covering automated functional tests and automated control testing
Operational technical SME for risk team supporting automation & reporting initiatives
Design and implement processes to manage requests and decisions to optimize compliant, scalable growth
Lead process testing to improve control effectiveness reporting
Build/implement automated functional tests around key services & controls
Build workflow for colleagues to submit test scenarios/use cases
Build customised dashboards covering control testing and functional testing outputs
Lead/participate in 2LoD operational implementation reviews
Support risk assessment exercises for operational and resiliency risks
Proactively test to automate tasks and focus on clients and their servicing
Lead and influence large group of people without formal reporting relationship
Co-ordinate with multiple stakeholders at global level
Coach/mentor junior product managers in the team

Requirements:

Minimum of 12 years work experience in Transaction banking, preferably in Payment's product management
Proven experience in product management, product commercialization, IT and operations, process improvements or project management disciplines
Practical knowledge in solution development, business case development, requirement analysis
Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze complex problems, interpret customer and/or operational needs and develop integrated, creative solutions
University degree (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or transaction banking functions with an exposure to Product Management
Experience in implementing large scale product development project
Familiarity with product governance and project management disciplines
Understanding of relevant regulatory environment and impact
Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
