Senior Management Accountant

• Act as the subject matter expert on complex accounting issues, ensuring all financial activities align with statutory requirements, legislative frameworks, and professional standards
• Direct the end-to-end preparation and review of comprehensive financial statements, technical papers, and data-driven analyses
• Design, implement, and maintain robust accounting policy frameworks that standardise financial operations and strengthen internal controls across the organisation
• Monitor, interpret, and operationalise changes in government legislation and financial regulations
• Lead internal and external audit engagements, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring the timely resolution of findings through robust control environments
• Foster a culture of high performance by guiding and mentoring accounting staff, promoting professional development, and enhancing the teams technical expertise
• Collaborate with diverse finance streams to deliver integrated reporting and unified financial support that aligns with broader organisational objectives

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline essential
• Post Graduate Qualifications in Management, Public Administration, or similar desirable
• Familiarity with integrated ERP/finance systems and contemporary reporting tools
• Proven experience and reliability in previous government positions
